The Open Door is very excited to welcome our new Executive Director, Jessica Hutton!
Jessica comes to Camrose Open Door Association with an extensive background working in nonprofit organizations. She has worked in this sector for many years, having begun her work in the front line, and grown through education and experience to a role of leadership. As a result of this, Jessica understands the unique challenges faced by those working to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals.
Jessica's experience includes behaviour consulting, Victim's Services advocacy, training, private counselling and organizational management. She has been responsible for the development and management of large scale programs for both youth and adults, including programs for individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Jessica brings to us an extensive background of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues, and has previously provided training to caregivers working with these populations. She has formerly been involved in homelessness initiatives, employment supports, emergency shelter services, and youth ambassador programs.
Jessica believes in utilizing holistic and multidisciplinary approaches in programming. She is also highly trained in trauma informed practices. Jessica believes in drawing on the strengths individual's possess, and believes in cultivating resourceful and resilient youth able to achieve their goals and dreams.
We are so grateful to have Jessica as part of our team and are looking forward to working with her.

The Open Door provides youth ages 11-24 with many services, including: emergency shelter and basic needs, housing, counseling, and skill development.

To access these services, please contact us by phoning our office or stopping by from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
