24/7 Integrated Response Hub The 24/7 Integrated Response Hub will provide support to individuals aged 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness. The 24/7 Integrated Response Hub will provide a safe and warm place for individuals to receive 24/7 wrap-around, coordinated service delivery, along with overnight accommodations, and a day time drop-in. There will be the opportunity to participate in programming, and/or work with staff and partnered service providers to be connected to additional supports within the community. The 24/7 Integrated Response Hub is a voluntary program. It is hoped that 20-30 overnight beds will be accommodated. The 24/7 Integrated Response Hub also will have a Help Line, that will be accessible to all community members and service providers, and that will be monitored 24 hours a day beginning November 1, 2020. The Open Door will be the agency responsible the development and operation of this long term, and holistic approach. The Open Door has partnered with a number of agencies within the community, and within the Province of Alberta, to deliver additional services for Integrated Response Hub service users.
How you can help: The Integrated Response Hub will be led by The Open Door, but will be a community effort. The Open Door looks forward to continuing work with the residences of the City of Wetaskiwin, as well as surrounding areas, to best respond to vulnerable individuals in need of support. Donations of non-perishables, toiletries, socks/ underwear, winter gear and other items will be gladly accepted. Monetary donations are eligible for donation receipts and will be put towards the programming and operational costs of the Wetaskiwin Integrated Response Hub.
