How can you help?
Did You Know:
- That the Open Door operates four programs?
- Outreach (ages 11-24)
- Counseling (youth, families and community members)
- Peer Connections (ages 16-24)
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (F.A.S.D.) Program
- That our Outreach Workers are visible in the community and interact with youth on the streets and at community events?
- That our Registered Psychologist and Interim Therapist(s) provide professional support free of charge?
- That we provide support for issues ranging from writing a resume and emergency food and shelter, substance issues and family break up?
- That our programs aim to provide support ranging from physical needs like food and shelter to opportunities for healing and hope?
- That the Open Door began in 1998 as a summer program based in the Camrose Church of God. The initial project identified 42 youth in need of community supports.
- That in 2009 our outreach program provided support to over 150 youth, conducted over 600 counselling sessions and connected with numerous youth on the streets of Camrose?
- That in 2010 a new pilot program for F.A.S.D. was inititated at the Open Door through the Ministry of Seniors and Community Supports.
With a large number of services provided to Camrose and area youth, support is always welcomed. This can be possible through in-kind donations (such as bedding or food) or monetary donations. Your generosity and support is invaluable.
