Who can request a legal aid referral?

While not everyone can afford a lawyer, every Albertan deserves access to a fair legal system. Legal Aid is a publicly funded, non-profit organization that provides affordable legal services in family law, domestic violence, child welfare, immigration, and youth and adult criminal defense. The Open Door will support individuals currently involved in the legal system with applying for Legal Aid.
