Employer Toolkit

Being an employer can be challenging- The Open Door Employment Program Coordinators are here to help you navigate through these challenges!

Through professional relationships, The Open Door will direct participants to apply to work with valued employers. As part of the YESS program, our participants will be placed with a one week (36.5 hour) full time employment opportunity. Employers are eligible to have some (if not all) of the 36.5 hours reimbursed by the Camrose Open Door upon hiring the participant.
Participants registered into the Youth Employment Skills Strategy program will have access to a variety of services through our office such as:
  • Job Skill Training
  • On the Job Training
  • Provision of Work Materials and Proper PPE
  • Outsourced Training
  • Health Supports

Mentorship: The Open Door Employment Coordinators are available to help participants in person, over the phone or virtually

Coordinators offer a check-in one week post hire to ensure participants and employers are satisfied
